Tech 21 PMDI-V2 SansAmp Para Driver V2 DI Bass Guitar Amplifier

The Tech 21 SansAmp Para Driver V2 DI supercharges the performance of your acoustic, electric, or bass guitar by imbuing it with a natural tube-like warmth and presence. Whether you run straight into a mixing console or to an amplifier, the Para Driver's sweepable semi-parametric EQ gives you a plethora of tone-shaping possibilities. Also, onboard SansAmp circuitry eliminates the harsh harmonics of your piezo pickups, while the Drive control adds a tasteful edge to your tone. The Tech 21 SansAmp Para Driver V2 DI also gives you Rumble Filter and Air switches, which get rid of boominess and give you silky top-end sparkle. Sweetwater Sales Engineers receive ongoing training on nearly everything we sell, so give us a call. We're happy to help!

Useful for nearly any instrument, the Tech 21 SansAmp Para Driver DI Pedal (v2) is a DI box with a few more tricks up its sleeve for stage- or studio-ready tones. Not only does the Para Driver drive the weak instrument level signal to go into a mixer, it has a powerful EQ section with a parametric mid control, a controllable SansAmp tube amplifier emulator, and an "Air" control to add top-end clarity to acoustic instruments or other signals.

In addition to being a DI box the Para Driver can also function as an outboard effect for live or studio mixing, by using the onboard EQ and other controls to fatten up or otherwise improve the sonic qualities of any track. When connected via XLR, the Para Driver can be powered by external 48V phantom power, precluding the need for a battery or other power supply. This DI works well with any instrument, but is particularly useful for acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, and upright bass.

Within the tube amplifier emulation circuitry is a speaker simulator which models a multi-miked bass cabinet. The tonal response is smooth and precludes the possible peaks, valleys, and notches associated with single-miking techniques

Adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive, similar to when the output section of a tube amp is being pushed. These active tone controls cut or boost ±12dB from unity gain at 12 o'clock. Bass adjusts the 80 Hz frequency. Treble adjusts the 3.2kHz frequency.Sweepable, semi-parametric EQ controls range from 160 Hz to 3 kHz, ±16dB, respectively. With Mid Shift, you can select the center frequency of the midrange control (MID), enabling you to notch out specific frequencies

that may be causing your acoustic guitar to feed back.Controls the ratio of your direct instrument signal and the SansAmp Tube/Microphone Emulation.Adjusts the output level of both the 1/4 and XLR outputs. When engaged, the rumble filter removes unwanted sub-sonic frequencies that cause boominess and audible handling noises associated with acoustic guitars. It also complements other instruments, such as electric guitar, for a snappier sound.Adds top-end clarity to acoustic instruments when engaged. Also complements other instruments as well as vocals, for better definition and a more open sound.
